Accepting New Clients
The decision to seek out clinical counseling can often feel intimidating for a variety of reasons. Can this even help me? Is all of this money worth it? Will I like my therapist? These questions are incredibly normal. Sometimes you simply need someone else to hold hope for you until you’re ready to hold it yourself. With that, I believe every client deserves to feel connected to the therapist they are working with because this is your space. In fact, studies show that the number one most important factor in counseling is the therapeutic relationship.
I truly love the work that I get to do. So far in my career I have worked with adults engaging struggles with anxiety, depression, identity, relationships, addiction, self-esteem, grief/loss, life transition, and trauma. The integration of spirituality and psychology is another particular passion of mine. I am currently accepting clients of any age (children, adolescents, young adults, and adults). My role is to walk with you in pursuing your goals, making actual change, and realizing a greater sense of wholeness and healing in your everyday experience. While I seek to tailor my counseling approach to each individual, some of the perspectives I am drawn to include Internal Family Systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (a variation of CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. More than anything, I prioritize a sense of trust and safety with my clients as I show up with warmth, compassion, and a good dose of humor when levity is necessary.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy walking around the park, sitting by a fire with a book, eating a great meal with friends, watching sports, camping, cycling, and skiing. I grew up in Texas and moved to Denver over three years ago. I love this city and the people in it and hope to continue growing roots here for years to come!
