Accepting New Clients

We live in a world filled with great joys, yet subject to fallenness and brokenness. As humans,
we are privileged to walk alongside one another through the joys of life, but also through the
various suffering and trials that we experience on our journey. We often find that in the joys of
life, many people are around to share them with us, while in the suffering, trials and tribulations,
people are fleeting or scarce.

I began my counseling journey in 2013. Prior to that, I was working as an insurance adjuster in
the Denver area. I found through my early counseling classes that I thoroughly enjoyed using
what I was learning to help other people. While I had no intentions of making a career out of
counseling, I began to love counseling others. I joined the staff of a church in 2015 to become
the care and counseling pastor. During that time, I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling
and Doctor of Ministry programs, both with an emphasis in counseling.

One of the great joys that I have been afforded, time and again, is to walk alongside others
during times of trial, suffering and tribulation. The trials and suffering that humans face is
complex in its scope and feeling. I have experience walking with others in depression, anxiety,
men’s issues, faith-based struggles, grief, church hurt, terminal illness, and the spiritual effects of
trauma and abuse. My experience is that being present with a hurting, confused, conflicted, or
troubled person, is often what reminds them of the Lord who is ultimately present with them to
heal, comfort, and bring peace.
